Heavyweight Gothic explores the boldest side of blackletter calligraphy. The program focuses on dense letterforms, striking contrasts, and the expressive possibilities of working with extreme weight.
Starting with a core variation based on Gothic Textura, we introduce nuance through advanced pen manipulation and built-up lettering. The aim is to develop a set of techniques for creating letters with a strong visual presence.
